After two years of capoeira in Kunming City, China, Group Bantus Capoeira has closed its doors. You may be able to find other capoeira classes in China on the internet.
In the meantime, why not check out these links to other Bantus Capoeira schools around the world.

Well, Im finally home and what a wonderful week it was. For the full round-up of events you should go straight to [bantus.com.my](http://www.bantus.com.my) because they’ve already taken care of it, but I have to add how great an event it was for me. The capoeira was fine, the people were wonderful, the weather was hideous - just kidding, althought the humidity WAS a shock to the system. Now Im back in the mild old Spring City I cant wait to get back into class and do some training! A big heart-felt thanks goes out to my hosts and friends in Malaysia, and I really hope they can drop in sometime and show everyone in China some of their style, and then we can return some of their great hospitality.
We are also looking at changing the training venue to the Tao Yoga Centre, as we should get a bit more coverage there, but Ill keep you posted in class.

Zhou Mei and I are heading to Malaysia to take part in their batizado. There will be workshops, gradings and parties aplenty, I’m sure. Head to their [website](http://www.bantus.com.my) for more details.
It’s a big event for us too, as it is the first time GBC China has attended another batizado, and in fact, it is the very first time for any CHINESE citizen to attend a batizado (If I’m mistaken please let me know).

Well, it’s great news to announce my baby has finally been born, being more than 2 weeks overdue. I had to cancel the class last Tuesday, but that was understandable under the circumstances. Our baby turned out to be a boy, 3.8 kg, as yet unnamed. Give me another few weeks and Im sure he will be itching to come to class and start learning to ginga.

There’s no class on Tuesday July 5, but will be on again from Friday July 8. Apparently the GMS summit is on and the building is off limits or being used or something akin to that.
Also, Im booking tickets for Malaysia this week so let me know if you can come!

Well, GBC is now operating in China! It’s the only currently active club in China (that I can find). Classes have been going well, and we just expanded into a new building. With the upcoming school holidays, we have the chance to do some publics rodas and bolster and numbers. Hopefully, soon enough, we can get a big group happening and have some great rodas.
Keep and eye on the other Bantus websites. GBC Malaysia has a batizado planned to September, so if anyone can make it there, I’m sure it will be a great party!
